The CE marking is applicable in the countries of the "European Economic Area" (EEA) and the countries in which the treaty of the EEA is safeguarded. The EEA is formed by fifteen Member States of the European Union. Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, Sweden and the United Kingdom. European directives and CE marking is also applied to Iceland, Norway and Liechtenstein.
In 2004, CE marking will also be applicable in Central and Eastern European countries. They are Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Hungary, Czech Republic, Malta, Cyprus, Slowakia, Slovenia. |
